CCH's approach to home design and working with clients from New England and beyond is based on the experience and philosophy of the late-founder, Lloyd Abbott Kirley, and is carried on by the current Design Staff.  

CCH offers an initial design consultation with our Lead Designer (in person or by phone) at no charge. We believe in taking steps to reduce stress, minimize confusion and make the process of planning and building a new home an enjoyable one.

We can adapt any CCH design to fit your lifestyle perfectly or start from scratch!

Our Standard Designs work perfectly for some people, while others have specific needs requiring a more personalized approach to the desiging process. Many people use our Standard Designs as the starting point for a new custom design. For example, they might want to add an attached gathering room, a first floor master bedroom suite or detach the carriage shed from the main home. We can accommodate almost any design request and pride ourselves in providing our clients with exactly what they want, while maintaining the style and character CCH is well known for.

We work with clients from both near and far.

Distance has never been a problem. We have worked with clients all over the U.S. and internationally as well. The design process typically flows from initial telephone conversations and E-mail or mail exchange; starting with a client wish-list and any simple sketches or drawings that they may or may not have. From this starting point, we then communicate and progress, first resolving the site and floor plans, then the elevations, and finally the details and finished working drawings. The process will vary from several weeks to months depending on our current work load, size of the project and timing of design changes.

The scale, scope and time schedule of each project dictates the completed plan cost.

The cost for Classic Colonial Homes, Inc. to generate a custom design will vary depending on size and complexity. The CCH Custom Design Agreement outlines the custom design fee structure. We recommend calling our office to discuss your project ideas and timeline. Once we have a clear understanding of what a client wants, based on the initial complementary Design Consultation, an estimate for the complete custom plans will be provided.
