Custom Exterior Siding

The exterior siding for an early American home, be it new construction or antique, serves both important functional and aesthetic roles. CCH offers superior quality, wood exterior siding packages made exclusively for our company in several styles and species, providing our customers period character, performance and value.

The secret to the historic look we achieve from our clapboards is in the custom cut dimensions of each individual plank. Our products are more narrow than standard clapboards, allowing them to be installed more tightly spaced with less surface exposed to the weather. The boards have a sharp, lower running edge which provides a period look and casts a dramatic shadow line like those found on the finest antique New England homes. We occasionally provide beaded clapboards for special applications for an added touch of refinement and elegance. CCH clapboards are available in three popular and time-tested species: Western Red Cedar, Pacific Coast Hemlock and Nordic Spruce, in a range of prices and aligned with most any budget.  

The rustic character that CCH Carriage Sheds are known for comes largely from our custom cut Shiplap vertical siding. We provide this material in random widths to create unique colonial spirit. When sided with our shiplap, the result is a barn structure with character that harkens to centuries past.

Additionally, we offer a factory-finish pre-prime coat of paint (or prime and top coat) as an additional service, providing a 15 year warrantee (certain conditions apply) to all of our custom siding products.
