Classic Colonial Homes, Inc. believes in honoring the past while respecting and protecting the future. We believe that natural resources are our most precious and valuable assets and so our Environmental Stewardship Statement & Policies are very important for us. We continually strive to improve on our approach and believe in the use of environmentally sensitive methods and materials whenever possible. CCH employs numerous methods to improve efficiencies, reduce waste and limit by-products in the design, manufacturing and construction of our fine homes. Here is where we stand: 

- DESIGN-

We focus on creating smaller, smarter homes whenever possible. Our emphasis in design is toward refined proportion and scale, authentic period detailing & we incorporate energy efficient building practices & products into every home we create. We have consulted and work with trained professionals and industry leaders in alternative energies practices and make this available to our clients as well. Our overarching goal is to design & create homes with modern efficiencies that meet or exceed the expectations of our clients, our society and environment.  

-CONSTRUCTION-

The CCH Preferred Builders Program provides clients a professional contracting firm with experience & expertise in the latest building technologies. We judge builders we select on several criteria, with energy efficient construction methods and experience a primary focus. To date, CCH has designed and built homes with green-minded principals including:

• Energy-Star ratings
• Geo-Thermal Heating/Cooling Systems
• Passive/Active Solar Technology
• High Efficiency Insulation Methods

- PRODUCTS & MANUFACTURING -

We manufacture the majority of what we sell from raw materials. We use local materials whenever possible to create our custom building component packages. Many of the specific processes we employ help us to minimize waste. By constructing panelized frame/roof packages and architectural millwork packages in a factory setting, we can reduce jobsite solid waste production for our homes by up to 30 Cubic yards, weighing 5 Tons!
We control our production to minimize waste, reuse our byproducts, use/generate no toxic materials and avoid environmentally harmful plastics in the hand made products we create.

We have proudly joined the CarbonFree™ program by Carbonfund.org in order to offset our company’s carbon emissions. CCH, Inc. has committed to support carbon offset projects, such as researching energy efficiency and mapping reforestation to zero-out our carbon footprint. The projects we’ve invested in play important roles to combat global warming, a problem that demands immediate attention.

What are Carbon Offsets?

Carbon offsetting is the act of reducing an equal amount of carbon through an unrelated project to counterbalance the carbon emissions from energy-consuming activities. Carbon offsets allow people to reduce their footprint by supporting projects that reduce carbon dioxide emissions, thus balancing out one's own carbon footprint. As we all are responsible for carbon dioxide emissions through the use of energy such as; heating and cooling our homes and driving, we can all help to equalize our impact and reverse these damaging environmental effects.
