The Deerfield Colonial
On the second floor you will find the master suite with walk-in closet and bath. Two additional bedrooms are serviced by a second full bath on the floor. The third floor has two more bedrooms and a bath to round out the plan. There are two options for exterior finish on this house. If you want it to be formal, it should be painted in a white or off-white color with a slightly darker tinted color for the trim. The window sash can be painted with the same trim color or a darker “colonial” accent color. If you want an informal “antique” look, the house and trim should be stained with a dark black-brown color. In this case the window sash and front doors should be painted with a bright “colonial” accent color (barn red works well). In either case, the roofs should be sawn cedar or slate colored asphalt and the chimneys should be done with used or antique style bricks. CCH offers several custom variations of this home in addition to the standard plan. Please contact our office for information.
