Despite their simplicity, good early capes have a particular charm, character and coziness that results from their qualities of form, proportions and human scale. On the side elevation, I have taken great care to retain these qualities while adding the modern day requirements for a two-car carriage shed. And open breezeway connects the house and garage and help sad the element of human scale to the rear house entrance. The attached garage is purposefully small to keep it in scale with the house, but quite adequate for two full sized cars.

Despite its compact appearance, this home has a very comfortable open floor plan. On the first floor is a large eat-in country kitchen which flows into a dining room family room with a single fireplace. The addition of a first floor bedroom gives the home added flexibility for a variety of uses. It has two comfortable bedrooms upstairs, each with their own bathroom. Finally, the bonus room above the garage offers a perfect space for an office, art studio or small workshop.
